According to reports, the man, identified as @olayinka.brain on TikTok, had invited his date to chill off with him but she invited her friends. However, just as the bill was about to be settled, the man and his friend excused themselves and fled, never to return.
Left bewildered and humiliated, the woman was forced to cover the substantial bill herself. The incident quickly gained traction on social media, sparking widespread outrage and criticism directed at the man.
In an attempt to mitigate the backlash, the man took to social media to share his side of the story. His viral post revealed a startling justification for his actions.
“I saw you online and met you; I sent you N10K instead of N500 for transport fare. You didn’t tell me you would come to the date with your friend and I had drank herbs hoping for some fun.
