The controversy surrounding Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson, has taken another twist as her father has openly demanded compensation from Ibom Airline for what he described as a shameful humiliation of his daughter.
Comfort Emmanson became the center of public attention after a viral incident in which she was stripped and embarrassed in public during a confrontation with the airline. The disturbing encounter not only sparked outrage online but also drew sympathy from Nigerians who criticized the handling of the matter.
Speaking in a recent interview with concerned Nigerians who approached him for his reaction, Mr. Emmanson did not hold back his anger. He expressed deep disappointment in the airline, accused them of disgracing his family after all the sacrifices he had made to train his daughter.
According to him, the humiliation went beyond Comfort alone, as it damaged the reputation of his entire household.
In his words, the distraught father questioned whether the ordeal was inflicted because of his financial status. He lamented that the treatment given to his daughter suggested bias and discrimination, noting that the incident had left him depressed, humiliated, and unable to even eat. He emphasized that his daughter was innocent, insisted that she had not stolen or committed any offense that warranted being stripped in public view.
Mr. Emmanson further stated that compensation must be paid by Ibom Air, stressed that the damage done to their name and dignity cannot be overlooked. He described the ordeal as a direct attack on his daughter’s integrity, which has left him and his family broken.

“I don’t know why it would have happened that way. Is it because I don’t have money? I don’t know how these people are going to pay my bills. They just rubbished us. They tarnished our image. I’m not feeling myself and I don’t feel like eating anything. They strip my child naked, and she didn’t steal. Compensation must be paid….”

The incident continues to stir conversations on social media, with many Nigerians condemning the airline’s actions while calling for justice for Comfort.
For her father, however, words of sympathy are not enough—he insists that tangible compensation and accountability from Ibom Air are the only acceptable remedies to restore his daughter’s dignity.
