Gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, on Saturday attacked and killed six officers on duty Odoro at the Ikpe Police Station, in Ini LGA of Akwa Ibom State.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the police station in the early hours of Saturday when people were still sleeping.
This early morning attack is one of series of attacks against security operatives by gunmen.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) attacked and killed two police officers at the Ikono Police Divisional Headquarters in Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, Akwa Ibom state.
It was gathered that the sad incident occurred around 3am in the early hours of today (Saturday) May 1 with five police vehicles burnt.
