Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle has approved the suspension of Emir of Dansadau, Alhaji Hussaini Umar with immediate effect.
He said District Head of Dansadau, Alhaji Nasiru Muhammad S/Kudu, should oversee the affairs of the Emirate.
The Governor also suspended District Head of Nasarawa Mailayi Alhaji Bello Wakkala.
His suspension is also with immediate effect.
No reason was cited for the suspensions.
The Governor approved a high-powered committee to investigate activities of the suspended monarchs.
The Committe members comprise DIG Moh’d Ibrahim Tsafe (rtd) as Chairman; Hon. Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma,Hon. Ibrahim T Tukur, Sheikh Ahmad Umar Kanoma , Sheikh Abdullahi Umar Dalla Dalla ,Sheikh Kabir Umar Maru as members while Barr Abdurrashid Haruna will serve as Secretary.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the governor dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
