Fourth Republic lawmaker, Senator Biyi Durojaye, is dead.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Durojaye died in the early hours of Tuesday in Lagos while receiving medical attention.

Durojaiye, 88, was once the chairman, Board of Commissioners for Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

His death is coming days after the departure of Lady Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi and Lady Adanna Okpara, wives of former Head of State, late Gen Johnson Thomas Umunnakwe and former Premier of Estern Region Sir Michael Okpara.

While Mrs Okpara died in her country home, Umuekwu Okpuala Afuguri in Ohuhu Clan of Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, on Sunday at the age of 97, Mrs. Aguiyi Ironsi, wife of Nigeria’s first Military Head of State, died at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia on Monday morning at the age of 86.
