The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna State Sector Command, on Wednesday, decorated 29 of its officers promoted to their next rank.

The Sector Commander, Mr Hafiz Mohammed, who decorated the officers, congratulated them and urged those who were not successful not to relent, but to work harder.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that two Chief Inspectors, two Deputy Chief Inspectors, three Principal Marshal Inspectors, one Marshal Inspector I, and two Marshal Inspectors were promoted.

Others are two Chief Road Marshal Assistants, three Deputy Road Marshal Assistants, 10 Senior Road Marshal Assistants, two Road Marshal Assistant I, and two Road Marshal Assistants 11.

The sector commander charged them to see their promotion as a call for more dedication and responsibility.

He charged them to improve on their work and to check reduction of road crashes in the state.

“As a command we have put strategy to reduce road crashes to the barest minimum.”

He said that the promotion is also a wake-up call to discharge their responsibilities efficiently.

He noted that promotion in FRSC was rigorous, transparent and based on individual’s hard work and dedication to duty.

Mohammed, while congratulating the officers, noted that the promotion was in line with the FRSC Corps Marshal’s mantra of consultation, reward and punishment.

Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, Chief Inspector, Mary Mazamaza, said the elevation was a call to duty to do more.

He thanked the management for finding them worthy of elevation, and promised to work hard towards achieving the overall objectives of the Corps.

Also, the Deputy Corps Commander, Administration, Mr Garba Lawal, advised the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to do more.

Lawal said: “you are expected to be more committed to duty every time.”
