The Ogun State Government has shut 12 public secondary schools, to avert cult-related violence, ahead of December 10 commencement of first term vacation.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, disclosed this yesterday.

He said the measures became necessary to stem the tide of students’ clashes that had rocked public secondary schools.

The affected schools were asked to proceed on vacation on conclusion of their first term examination yesterday.
