The family of the late former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi has described the death of Adebayo Alao-Akala as a great loss to the people of Ogbomoso and Oyo State.

This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan on Wednesday by Idris Ajimobi, son of the late former governor.

Idris described the former governor as a role model, saying he would forever be remembered for his sustained strong will to succeed.

“He sustained the legacy of helping to support concerned parties in the execution of policies, programmes, strategies and responses to any emerging trend in the national as well as global economies.

“He was a unifying force for the nation. His contribution to the growth and development of democracy in Oyo State, as well as Nigeria, cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

“In all circumstances, he lived and died nobly. He was an achiever,” he said.

Ajimobi commiserated with the Alao-Akala Family, the state government and the good people of the state on the irreparable loss.

“On behalf of myself and family, our sympathies go to you and the entire members of your family as well as to the government and the good people of Oyo State.

“It is our prayer that the Almighty God will grant him eternal rest and comfort all those he left behind,” he said.
