IGP Baba assures police personnel of salary increment

Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police, has guaranteed personnel across the country of salary increment.

According to the IGP, President Muhammadu Buhari has already approved the implementation, which will go into action soon.

On Wednesday in Lagos, Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Research, Planning, and Supervision) Johnson Babatunde communicated Baba’s guarantee.

Kokumo disclosed that the relevant federal governments were working on the payment and had reached the final stages of computation of emolument details.

He listed the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) and the Ministry of Police Affairs.

The DIG further disclosed that the issue of promotion is being looked into to ensure deserving officers and men get elevated accordingly.

Lagos Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi thanked IGP for allaying the fears and doubts of personnel and pledged a renewed dedication to duty.
