Katsina State government has declared Monday, April 11, as holiday for civil servants in the state.

The state government made this known in a statement by Usman Isyaku, Permanent Secretary Administration, Office of the Head of Civil Service.

According to the statement, the work-free day will enable workers to join other electorates to vote at the local government elections scheduled for that day.

He implored workers to use the opportunity to peacefully exercise their franchise by voting candidates of their choice.
