The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has urged the Italian government to provide a job for the widow of Ogorchukwu Alika, a Nigerian beaten to death by an Italian for complimenting his partner’s beauty.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Alika was beaten to death by a 32-year-old Italian man, Filippo Claudio Giuseppe Ferlazzo on the streets of Civitanova Marche city located in the Province of Macerata, Marche Region of Italy.

Dabiri-Erewa also noted that the deceased was the breadwinner of his family and the alleged killer of Alika has been arrested by the Italian police.

The NiDCOM Chairman disclosed that the Italian police were working and cooperating with the Nigerian mission in Italy to get justice for the victim and the culprit made to face the consequences he deserves.

According to the statement shared on her verified Twitter page, she said that “The suspect in the murder of Mr. Ogochukwu Alika has been arrested by the Italian police and is expected to be charged to court.

“Also, the Nigerian mission is requesting that the Italian government provides Mrs. Alika, the widow, a good job to cater for the family, being the family’s breadwinner, now.”
