Kai Havertz, a Chelsea midfielder, has responded to reports linking him to a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
According to reports, Havertz was being considered as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who has since joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich.
The German international, who also claims to have heard the rumours on Instagram, has now ruled out the possibility of departing Chelsea for Bayern Munich this summer.
“I heard about it on Instagram (laughs).
“I cannot say anything about it – there was nothing at all. There were no talks,” Havertz said (via iMiaSanMia).
Havertz joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen for £72 million in 2020.
The 23-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Stamford Bridge club.
