The Nigerian Army has disclosed the latest developments regarding the situation of soldiers that killed popular Yobe Muslim cleric, Sheikh Goni Aisami

The army on Sunday said it has now officially handed over to the soldiers to the Yobe State Police Command for criminal prosecution in the court of law.

In an interview with newsmen, shortly after the ex-servicemen were handed to the police, Captain Kennedy Anyanwu, Sector 2 Public Relations Officer said, “What you just witnessed here this morning is the official handover of the dismissed regiments to the Nigeria Police Yobe State Command for them to face civil prosecution in the court of law”.
