For organizing a robust stakeholders’ peace talk forum in Gusau, Zamfara state capital, the state’s command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), A A Sparks, has been commended.

The Zamfara State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau, gave the commendation when he declared open the peace talk organized by NSCDC at the Jubril Bala Yakubu Secretariat event hall in Gusau, the state capital.

Senator Hassan Gusau said that the corps, under the leadership of Commandant Sparks in the state and the Commandant General, Abubakar Audi Ahmed, have distinguished themselves in various facets of fight against insecurity and in the maintenance of peace in Zamfara State and the nation at large.

Also, a famous professor in the Faculty of Education and Dean of Postgraduate School of the Federal University Gusau, Professor Lawal Mohammed Mayanchi, who was the second speaker, reviewed the state of insecurity in Zamfara State and peeped into the social economic implications it has on all and sundry in the state.

Earlier, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. A A Sparks welcomed the guests for honouring the corps invitation to the peace talk.

He delivered the goodwill message on behalf of the Commandant General, Dr Abubakar Audi Ahmed to all participants.
