Ashleigh Plumptre, a defender for the Super Falcons, intends to start the new year by playing fully again.

The center-back suffered a hamstring injury in Leicester City’s 8-0 loss to Chelsea last weekend.

Plumptre is now expected to be out for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old took to social media to thank her fans for their support, stating that she is fully focused on returning to the field of play.
