Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, said that Los Blancos’ lack of success against Real Sociedad in Sunday’s La Liga 0-0 draw was due to bad luck.
Ancelotti watched as Real Madrid drew goalless against Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As a result, Real Madrid is now five points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Ancelotti said, “We created a lot of chances to get the goal, but luck was not on our side. That can happen.”
He added, “It was one of our best performances this season. It was difficult to make substitutions because everyone was playing so well.”
Real Madrid will now face Valencia in their next fixture on Thursday.
