Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for 2023, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for apologizing to Nigerians who have been hurt by his actions or policies and urging them to forgive him.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported on Friday that President Buhari asked Nigerians who were deeply hurt by his actions to forgive him because “we are all humans.”

Buhari made the remarks at the Presidential Villa in Abuja during the Sallah homage by residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), led by FCT Minister Mohammed Bello.

President Buhari also described himself as a fortunate man for having led Nigeria in various capacities as a governor, minister, head of state, and now President.

But, in a post on his Twitter account on Friday, Sowore reacted to Buhari’s speech by saying that his administration’s plans and policies not only harmed Nigeria, but also dehumanized its citizens.

According to the presidential candidate, Buhari has denied Nigerians a decent life as well as an opportunity to live and thrive.

He went on to say that Buhari destroyed businesses, killed innocent people, destroyed the education sector, and denied the sick and infirm the opportunity to be nursed back to health.

Sowore, on the other hand, claims that the President’s ruined and crushed souls, lives, and opportunities will continue to hunt and haunt him until the end of time.

He wrote;

President @mbuhari you just didn’t hurt Nigeria, you dehumanised its citizens, you denied Nigerians of a decent life, you denied children, women, men -old and young- an opportunity to live and thrive.

You destroyed businesses, you took innocent lives, you destroyed the educational sector, you deprived the sick and infirm an opportunity to be nursed to health. You unjustly detained and imprisoned many. You encouraged violence where you couldn’t carry it out yourself. You created division through religious bigotry and ethnicity.

Yourself, your family members, cronies, and members of your cabal perpetrated untold corruption. You borrowed Nigeria back to the Stone Age!

Your tenure and the souls you ruined, lives you wasted, and opportunities you crushed will continue to hunt and haunt you till the end of time!
