EPL: Romano gives update on Kante’s contract at Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, has provided an update on N’Golo Kante’s Chelsea contract situation.

This summer, Kante’s current contract at Stamford Bridge will expire, and negotiations over a potential extension have been ongoing.

One of the top box-to-box midfielders in the world, Kante won the 2018 World Cup with France.

According to Romano, the Frenchman’s extension talks with the Blues entered an advanced stage before slowing down recently, and the situation is unclear at this point.

“N’Golo Kanté’s contract extension, not done yet — talks were very advanced in the last months but now the situation is unclear again. More contacts will take place,” he tweeted.

“Parties will talk in order to decide — there are more clubs keen on Kanté on a free, including Saudi.”
