Asari Dokubo, a former insurgent leader in the Niger Delta, has questioned the age of Mmesoma Ejikeme, a JAMB candidate who is facing controversy.

Dokubo suggested that Mmesoma’s age may have been changed prior to her sitting for the UTME.

The former militant commander questioned Mmesoma’s claim to be writing the JAMB at 19 years old on a Facebook live, noting that his children had graduated from school at 15 and 16 years old.

According to Dokubo: “I have actually checked the little girl’s details, and I observed that there is the possibility that her age was altered before she sat for the exam.

“If not, why will she be writing JAMB at 19 when my own children finished school between the ages of 15 & 16. I saw 2004 in her details that I saw.

“One sure fact is that we know all these things, but we may choose not to talk. Now, I have to talk because I am irritated by what some people are saying. Something that is an obvious lie is what some people are comfortable with.”

Recall that Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra State, and JAMB had been involved in a face-off over the former’s UTME result.

Initially, Mmesoma claimed to have scored 362 in her UTME, but JAMB accused her of forging the result.

The examination body insisted that the 19-year-old scored 249 and not 362.

After much back and forth, Mmesoma admitted that she scored 249.
