Chelsea Football Club are said to have signed Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Since the 2023 summer transfer window opened, the deal has been the most talked about on the lips of every football fan on the planet. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer news expert, confirmed that Chelsea and Brighton have agreed on a £115 million transfer fee for the midfielder.

As part of the agreement, Brighton will have a sell-on clause. The fee is the highest paid for any player in English Premier League history, surpassing Chelsea’s purchase of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106.8 million.

Moises Caicedo has agreed to terms with Chelsea on an eight-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2031, with an option to extend by another year. On Monday, August 14, 2023, the midfielder is expected to undergo medicals with the Blues.
