Treasure Ayuba, the final victim of the Bethel High School student abducted in Kaduna, has been freed.
On July 5, 121 pupils were kidnapped by gunmen who broke into the Damishi, Kaduna school.
Ayuba was the final victim to be set free, with others having already been freed.
Ayuba’s release was verified by the Nigeria Baptist Convention (NBC) on Thursday evening.
In a statement, NBC President Rev. Israel Akanji acknowledged his release.
He said, “Glory be to God! Glory be to God!! Glory be to God!!! Treasure Ayuba, the last boy who was still with the bandits who kidnapped the 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, on July 5, 2021, has just returned home today, November 2, 2023.
“Thanks be to our unfailing God. Thank you also very much for your prayers and numerous support.”
