President Bola Tinubu has instructed the reactivation of the Presidential Delivery Tracker to enable Nigerians to monitor project implementations across the country in real time.

Addressing a gathering at the closing session of a three-day Cabinet Retreat for Ministers and top government appointees in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized his commitment to engaging citizens directly in governance, ensuring that all Nigerians have the opportunity to track and report on project implementations.

He has directed his Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, to reactivate the tracking system with a focus on leveraging cutting-edge digital innovation to provide real-time oversight for the benefit of all Nigerians.

President Tinubu outlined the priority areas of his administration as follows:

  1. Reform the economy to achieve sustained, inclusive growth.
  2. Strengthen national security for peace and prosperity.
  3. Boost agriculture to attain food security.
  4. Unlock energy and natural resources for sustainable development.
  5. Enhance infrastructure and transportation to drive growth.
  6. Focus on education, health, and social investment as essential pillars of development.
  7. Accelerate diversification through industrialization, digitization, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation.
  8. Improve governance for effective service delivery.

He urged all members of his cabinet to work diligently to meet the expectations of Nigerians, emphasizing the importance of delivering tangible results and solutions to the nation’s challenges.

President Tinubu highlighted the significance of data in governance, as it allows for a better understanding of the challenges and facilitates the design and implementation of effective solutions, progress monitoring, and evaluation. He stressed that data is crucial for effective governance.

The retreat concluded with the signing of performance bonds by ministers and permanent secretaries, demonstrating a commitment to diligence, innovative thinking, and a relentless focus on achieving results in their respective roles. President Tinubu urged all implementing authorities to uphold these performance bonds.
