Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, will host an international press conference today, November 6.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary of LP, Obiora Ifoh.

The statement read, “His Excellency Peter Obi will address a World Press Conference scheduled for 2 pm today at Campaign Headquarters.”

This will be Obi’s first official media conference following his loss at the Supreme Court.

The development is also coming one week after his campaign spokesman, Yunusa Tanko denied Obi had gone into hiding following the apex court judgement as being speculated.

Tanko said the LP candidate travelled out of the country long before the court notice arrived.

He also hinted that the party presidential flag bearer will address Nigerians once he returns to the country.

In another development, Peter Obi, has reacted to the natural disaster that struck a secondary school in Anambra State over the weekend.

It was reported that about nine students of Tansi International College were struck by lightning on Saturday during a rainstorm.

Three of the students lost their lives, while the rest are said to be currently responding to treatment at the hospital.

“I am greatly saddened by the unfortunate natural disaster…” Obi wrote on X.

“I extend my condolences to the bereaved families, students, and the management of the college. May God give them the strength to bear this great loss and grant eternal rest to the deceased, and a speedy recovery to the injured.”
