  • Mikel Arteta is set to negotiate a new contract, potentially becoming Arsenal’s highest-paid manager in the club’s history
  • Arsenal is interested in signing RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, and Bundesliga club officials are applying pressure to secure the transfer

Mikel Arteta is gearing up to negotiate a new contract and holds a strong position in the talks.

With just one year remaining on his current deal, the 42-year-old Arsenal manager is poised to secure a place in the club’s history books as their highest-paid manager.

Despite initial denials, Arsenal remains keen on acquiring RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, with officials exerting pressure on the Bundesliga club.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger commanded around £8 million annually, a figure similar to Arteta’s current salary. However, Arteta’s new contract is expected to elevate his earnings to approximately £12 million.
