Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, and Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, were among prominent figures inducted as fellows of the African Business School (ABS) during a ceremony in Abuja yesterday.

Other inductees included the Controller-General of the Immigration Service, Kemi Nana Nandap; Gloria Douye Diri, wife of Bayelsa State Governor; former Imo governorship candidate Ugwumba Uche Nwosu; Olatubosun Shamsuldeen Adeniyi Kuku; and Dr Vivian Chinonyerem Obidinnu.

The President of ABS, King Goddy Idaminabo Idikisime-Olunwa, said the fellows were honoured for their notable contributions in their respective fields and called on them to join a “dynamic network of leaders, innovators, and influencers committed to transforming Africa’s future.”

The event also marked the inauguration of the school’s Academy of Fellows’ Council, with Ayim Nyere appointed as chairman, Elder Simeon Babani Seidu Abuh as secretary, and Hajia Saratu Shafi as vice-chairman. Other members include Princess Aminat Nasir Akwu as Public Relations Officer, Mrs Ada Godwin as deputy secretary, and Lami Onayi Ahmed as Ex-chequer.
