Senate President Godswill Akpabio has commended President Bola Tinubu’s efforts in implementing economic reforms, stating that the president has “done his best for Nigeria.”

Akpabio made this statement during his welcome address at the 2025 budget presentation on Wednesday.

Akpabio praised Tinubu’s leadership, saying it “shines like a beacon of hope” and has led to significant strides in economic reforms. He highlighted the removal of fuel subsidies as a courageous decision that demonstrates Tinubu’s commitment to redirecting resources to critical sectors such as education and healthcare.

The Senate President also acknowledged Tinubu’s collaboration with the Central Bank, which has created an environment conducive to investment. Additionally, he praised the president’s focus on infrastructure development, stating that it reflects a visionary commitment to improving connectivity and fueling the economy.

Akpabio boasted that no community in Nigeria is currently under the siege of Boko Haram, a testament to the administration’s efforts in enhancing national security. President Tinubu arrived at the House of Representatives Chamber at 12:10 pm, where the 2025 budget presentation was held.
