The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, has called on the military to adopt advanced technology, enhance intelligence sharing, and improve interagency cooperation to tackle evolving security threats.
Speaking in Abuja at the 2025 CDS Joint Task Force Commanders Conference, Musa commended troops for their dedication in combating insurgency, terrorism, and banditry. He noted that recent operational successes were a result of professionalism and unity of purpose.
However, he warned that emerging threats, including armed drones, transnational crimes, and improvised explosive devices, require adaptive and innovative responses.
“This conference provides an opportunity to examine these challenges and develop actionable strategies. We must remain vigilant and leverage technology to stay ahead,” he said.
Musa emphasized that the conference would serve as a platform to review progress, strengthen collaboration, and reaffirm commitments to national security.
