A middle-aged man, Lawan Faro, who resides in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, has vowed to commit suicide if President Buhari fails to resign within the next 12 hours. Lawan climbed a 40-metre-tall billboard hanger and has threatened to jump down to his death if President Buhari does not resign.

In an interview with Sahara Repoprters, Lawan said the poverty rate in Nigeria has increased since Buhari came into power and that he will only come down if PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar comes to assure him that he would take over from President Buhari come 2019.

“I think it’s time for Buhari to give way for someone like Atiku Abubakar to lead us out of the present hardship. I will remain here for 12 hours to show my discontent, and someone not less than Atiku must come here to assure me that this government must be sacked in the forthcoming election.” Lawan said

Meanwhile, a large crowd have gathered at the bottom of the billboard hanger, chanting “Sai Baba Buhari!”
