More details of the young bride who recently married an aged Alhaji identified as Yakubu (Nafsi-Nafsi) in Minna, Niger state, has surfaced on the internet.
Recall that the internet was thrown into a frenzy when photos of an alleged 70-year-old man tying the knot with a seemingly underage girl in Lapai local government area of Niger state on December 10 emerged.
Reports reaching Newsmen reveal that contrary to popular belief, the bride is not underage and is supposedly 20 years of age. It was gathered that this is not her first marriage as she has been married two times to different men and the Alhaji will make her third husband.
Interestingly, the 20-year-old bride looked elated on her wedding day and a video of dancing as her husband sprayed her money went viral. One of the photos from the wedding day which was shared by a Facebook user, Aliyu Umar, showed a group of elders counting kolanuts believed to be payment of her bride price.
New reports have claimed that a bride price of N300,000 was agreed upon and it was paid to the bride’s family before she was released to her new husband.
Reports state that Alhaji Yakubu is furious over the misinterpretation of his wedding photos which has flooded the internet.
