Benaiah lost the battle for survival this morning in Lagos while he was going for a scheduled surgery. He was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
His story caught national interest after a video of his distraught father who sat in front of the Rivers state government house seeking for help to save his son who was diagnosed with heart disease went viral.
About 48 hours after the video hit the internet, Nigerians rallied around to donate for his surgery. A lot of people have donated to the bank account given and over N75 million is reportedly donated.
