Rihanna Arrives Venue Late As Singer Opens New York Pop-Up Shop For ‘Fenty’

Multiple award-wining singer, philanthropist and designer, Rihanna keeps expanding her fashion brand and, has moved the marque closer to her fans in New York City. She set up the shop in a fashionable Soho store The Webster and officially opens to the public from Wednesday until June 30

The delectable entrepreneur opened the second pop-up outlet of her Fenty luxury brand in NY on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, however, kept her well-wishers waiting for three hours by arriving late.

At the store opening, Rihanna rocked a new piece from her label’s second, forthcoming collections. She wore a strappy, hot pink minidress with ruching up the side and an open back, paired with matching rhinestone-accented heels, David Webb “Grand Girandole” chandelier earrings ($585,000), a David Webb aquamarine stud cuff ($145,000), a number of large diamond bracelets, a David Webb “Cubist” ring ($54,000) and another David Webb diamond ring ($49,000).

The Grammy winner-turned-designer opened the store with some pieces from the first collection, and some new items, including a series of dresses and skirts in bold colours like orange or yellow but also some very dense prints.

She also debuted two new T-shirts include — one that reads “immigrant” and another emblazoned with “no more music.”

Ahead of its pop-up in New York City, Fenty introduced “Release 6-19,” the second monthly drop of goods from Rihanna’s label. Last month, she released 5-19.

RiRi’s new store comes a month after the unveiling of the fashion house, Fenty, which the Barbados-born diva launched with French luxury powerhouse LVMH in France. She set up her first shop in fashionable Soho store, The Webster and officially opens to the public from Wednesday until June 30.
