Daddy Freeze Reacts To Desmond Elliot Advocating Ban Of Foreign Movies

Nigerian actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, recently called on the government to ban the importation of foreign movies.

Just recently, Nigerian actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, raised quite a bit of dust on social media after he called for the ban of foreign movies in the country.

Elliot explained that this should be done in order to grow the Nigerian film industry. According to him, taking such actions and aggressively investing in the entertainment industry is the key to making it thrive globally.

As expected, a number of Nigerians who are fans of foreign movies took to social media to slam the actor.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has also shared his opinion on the issue. According to him, people should be able to choose what they want to watch if they are paying for it.

He wrote:

 “Dear Brother Desmond, I love you, but I’m not with you on this. I should be able to choose what I want to watch if I’m paying for it, shouldn’t I? Why don’t you strive to raise Nollywood to Hollywood standards and then people will gravitate towards Nollywood naturally?”
