31-year-old man found dead with sniper insecticide near his corpse, mother suspects foul play

Tragedy as a 31-year-old man identified as Princewill Okoroafor allegedly commits suicide in his Lagos apartment.

The tragic incident happened in his apartment located at Lakeview Phase 1 Estate in Amuwo Odofin, a surburb in Lagos state.

According to Police reports, the dead body of the 31-year-old man was found lying in his apartment and an empty bottle of sniper was found beside his dead body.

Reacting to the sad loss of his child, the mother of the deceased identified as Mrs. Juliet Okoroafor said she suspects foul play in his death and requested the police to conduct an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.

“I received a call that my son was about to commit suicide. I rushed to the scene and met him lying on the floor in his room. He was rushed to First Line Hospital in Festac, where he was confirmed dead. I want the police to conduct autopsy on him to ascertain the cause of his death”.

The Police Public Relations in the state, Bala Elkana confirmed the sad incident.

Elkana said, “When Mrs. Okereafor reported the matter at the Festac division, the scene was visited by detectives, led by SP Francis Oyeyemi, where an open tin of suspected poisonous substance,  Sniper, was recovered. We are still investigating.”
