Viral photos show inside prehistoric Kebbi buildings where primary school pupils sit on bare floor

A Nigerian man who is deeply worried about the sorry state of primary schools in Kebbi state has taken to his social media page on Friday where he uploaded photos of the dilapidated Bayan Tsaha Model Primary School in Birnin Kebbi.

The man identified as Muhammed Mubarak captured the moment pupils of the said school sat on barefloor and lamented the sorry state of the pre-historic buildings.

He wrote:

“Earlier this morning I went to a school bayan tsaha model primary school near mechanical village birnin Kebbi metropolises, Kebbi State. This is one of the primary school in the area, at first I thought this building is obsolete, but I was told that it’s serviceable. That students still sit on the floor of this classroom.the school buildings are all prehistoric and démodé.

Whenever i found this prehistoric buildings Easily recall Kebbi state governor speech during 2015/2019 campaign that he’s going to heed on education and health sector.
We urge kebbi state government to please consider them and ameliorate their standard of living. May Allah give you the strength and bravery to appraise the prehistoric buildings all in kebbi state and 21 local government areas”.

Reacting to the incident, a Senior Special Assistant to the state governor allegedly debunked the photos barely fee hours after Mubarak uploaded the photos.

The Governor’s aide argued that the school is in good condition.

The claims and denial of the governor’s aide prompted Mubarak to revisit the school and took more photos by posing in front of the school and inside the classrooms.

He wrote;

“Few hours ago I posted a picture of bayan tasha model primary school here in birnin kebbi, kebbi state metropolis some so called SSA to the governor on media false it, that the school is okay,

I went there again this evening to snap some pictures again… the governor should please go there and see the reality! Even the renovated part is just paint outside excluding the class room inn. The difference between the renovated part and the part they took there head off is outside paint.

Some classes don’t even have board,stools nd chair. Here is the picture of both the renovated part they’re chanting it’s okay. Here is primary 5 I’m inn no chairs no nothing!”
