VIDEO: Police officers flog mother of two for allegedly violating Lockdown to buy drugs in Osun

Video of policemen mercilessly flogging a mother of two identified as Tola Azeez for violating the coronavirus lockdown in Osun state has surfaced on internet.

This was disclosed on Saturday by the mother of two on Twitter.

Azeez disclosed that the incident happened on her way to get drugs.

“This is me being beaten by the police today on my way to get drugs and some relief materials for my people,” the mother of two wrote while she retweeted a video posted by a Nigerian musician, @Ruggedybaba.

Inside the video, two police officers can be seen flogging the mother of two with whips.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the mother of two identified as Tola Azeez was on her way to Pharmacy store to buy drugs for her child and relief materials before she was assaulted by the officers.

Reacting on the incident, Osun State Commissioner of Police, Babatunde Kokumo disclosed that he has ordered the arrest and detention of the officers involved.

“I have ordered the immediate investigation into the matter. I am not in support of what has happened. I have ordered the arrest and detention of those involved,” he told our correspondent over the phone.
