Coronavirus is an infectious disease that has been confirmed in more than three million people across the world. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US has now added six new symptoms to its existing list of COVID-19 signs.

Cases are continuing to rise across the world, and governments have urged the public to stay at home, to avoid becoming infected or spreading the virus further.

People have been advised to remain indoors, as more than 1,000 Nigerians have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The most common coronavirus symptoms include having a high fever, shortness of breath, and a new, continuous cough.

But, the CDC has urged the public to remain vigilant after adding six new symptoms to its list.

Muscle pain, headaches and sore throats have all been confirmed to be caused by COVID-19, according to the CDC.

Some patients may even develop a new loss of taste or smell, it added.

Chills, as well as persistent shaking with the chills, have also been added to the CDC’s list of coronavirus symptoms.

These signs can appear any time between two and 14 days after exposure to the virus, it warned.

As new COVID-19 symptoms are being discovered daily, and experts now believe that skin rashes might also be a symptom of the rampaging virus.

A study in Italy found 20 percent of COVID-19 patients had skin problems, while anecdotal evidence from other countries indicates a link between dermatological problems and the virus.
