As schools remain closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a classroom in Borno state has been converted into a poultry farm.

Photos shared online show numerous domestic fowls and poultry feeding on what used to be the floor of a classroom.

Chairs and desks were piled on top of each other on one side of the room to create space for the poultry farm.

Recall that several schools in Nigeria were shut down in March, 2020, as part of efforts to contain the spread of the global  COVID-19 pandemic.

After the closure, Nigerians were urged to maintain the highest level of hygiene, remain calm and adhere to all safety measures earlier announced by the Ministry of Health and other national bodies.

To date, several schools in Nigeria are yet to resume but there are speculations that the Federal Government would soon make room for the resumption of classes nationwide.
