Tension in Delta community as unknown gunmen attacked lightworld company situated along Airport Road in Warri South Local Government Area.
The sad incident happened on Thursday, February 19.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the armed men killed a yet-to-be identified mobile police officer and hurriedly carted away his rifle.
This sad incident happened barely four days after some gunmen killed two operatives of joint security outfit ‘Operation Delta Safe’ in Asaba and another mobile policeman who was on escort duty at a Church in Ughelli north local government area.
Speaking on the development, the police public relations officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the killings.
He also disclosed that investigations into the killings have been launched.
In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that unknown gunmen on Sunday killed a police officer in a church in Ughelli, Delta State.
The police spokesperson in the state, Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the killing to reporters on Sunday.
“Yes, he (police officer) followed his principal to the church,” Ms Onovwakpoyeya, a deputy superintendent of police, said, without disclosing any information about the “principal”
