Sunday Oliseh, a former Nigeria coach, has surprisingly disclosed that Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid.
Speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, he revealed he’s heard rumors of Osimhen’s impending transfer to Real Madrid from a prominent Nigerian figure and is thrilled for the young striker.
Oliseh, who insisted on not disclosing how he obtained the details, stated that he has been properly told that Osimhen is moving to Real Madrid.
According to Oliseh, Kylian Mbappé could shift to his preferred left-wing position, making room for Osimhen as a central striker.
Recall that Real Madrid is considering Victor Osimhen as a potential replacement for Vinicius Jr., who might leave the club.
If the transaction is completed, Victor Osimhen will become the first Nigerian-born player to play for Real Madrid’s first team, according to sports analysts and experts who hailed the move.

FROM GRASSROOTS TO NATIONAL?
Victor Osimhen’s route to stardom was not easy. He persevered despite adversity to become a relevant and influential player. He started on the streets, competed in numerous young tournaments, and delivered amazing performances.
He began his road to the Nigerian national team in 2015, when he was called up to the U17 squad, where he showed his abilities and helped the side qualify for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
He also represented Nigeria at the U23 level, where he demonstrated his football abilities and captured the attention of national coaches, football fans, and sports ambassadors.
He made his senior Super Eagles debut as a substitute in a friendly against Togo on June 1, 2017. His goal-scoring ability and athleticism won him a valuable position in Nigeria’s sports sector.
FROM VfL WOLFSBURG TO MADRID?
Wolfsburg signed him from Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria for a record €3.5 million, knocking out big European clubs such as Arsenal, Inter, and Fiorentina. Osimhen selected Wolfsburg because he believed it would provide him with the finest opportunity to improve his skills and play on a regular basis.
Osimhen started his international career with VfL Wolfsburg. He formerly played for Nigeria’s Ultimate Strikers Academy and accepted a €3.5 million offer from Wolfsburg. He joined the club in January 2017, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract. He was chosen because of his outstanding and amazing achievements at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
