Some pains do not go away easy. The loss of a loved one is one example. It’s severe agony that demands more than treatment to alleviate. The memory hunts so fiercely that no one wants even his or her adversary to go through such a period in life.

However, life is strange. Life has its own rhythm, right? Despite our best efforts, we cannot predict or control it. Those unexpected twists and turns might be difficult, but they are part of the trip.

Here’s a list of Nigerian celebrities who have lost their only child:

Eucharia Anunobi

She is a popular Nigerian actress. Anunobi, born May 27, 1965, lost her only son, Raymond Ekwu, to sickle cell anemia complications on August 22, 2017. Raymond died at the age of fifteen. He’d been battling the condition from birth.

Peju Ogunmola

She is a popular Nigerian actress. She was born on April 10, 1966, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. She lost her sole child, 24-year-old Ayomikun Omobolanle. Ayomikun died after a brief illness in Ibadan, Oyo State, rather than after a bathroom accident, as had been speculated.

Ada Ameh

She’s a Nollywood actress. She lost her only kid, Aladi Godgift. She died on October 20, 2020, as a result of complications from an unsuccessful surgical procedure in Abuja.

Aladi was 30 years old when she passed away. Ada Ameh, who became a mother at the age of 14, has been vocal about her depression and mental health concerns since her daughter’s death.

Aisha Falode

Aisha Falode is an accomplished Nigerian sports journalist, radio broadcaster, and administrator. She is the president of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and an executive member of the Nigeria Football Federation. Her only child, Oloruntoba, unfortunately died in Dubai.

According to reports, he was pushed off the 17th floor of a building by Faisal Aldakmary Al-Nasser, a Saudi national, and Olivia Melaine Richards Evans, a Briton, following a heated argument. He was 19 years old at the time and a student at SAE Institute in Dubai.

However, Aisha Falode accused the Dubai authorities of a cover-up, seeking justice through the Nigerian government.

Remi Surutu

She is a Nollywood actress. Her only child, Ayo. Mikun Ileriayo died of sickle cell anemia complications on July 2, 2017. She had been battling the disease since birth and passed away at a young age.
