The latest tension involving Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo and controversial actress Lizzy Anjorin has once again put conversations about celebrity conflicts in the Yoruba entertainment scene back in the spotlight.

What looked like a simple social media interaction quickly turned into speculation after Biodun reportedly liked one of Lizzy’s posts online. Fans began to wonder if the two were friends or allies. But Biodun was quick to respond. She publicly clarified that she and Lizzy were never close friends, while also accusing Lizzy of spreading false stories about her, including claims related to her children.

This recent fallout is fresh, but it is far from the first time Lizzy’s name has been linked to public disagreements in the industry.

Lizzy Anjorin

Over the years, Lizzy has built a reputation as one of Nollywood’s most talked-about and controversial personalities. This doesn’t come from just her movies and business ventures, but from repeated public disputes, legal issues, and viral online conflicts.

Her earlier clashes often started quietly within the industry but soon became public through social media exchanges or news coverage. Some involved fellow actresses, while others extended to industry promoters and colleagues. These early disputes made Lizzy known as outspoken and unafraid to publicly defend herself.

She has also faced legal challenges. In one instance, Lizzy was sued for defamation after calling a cultural promoter a fraud online. Other cases involved criminal allegations, like a land dispute, though some were later dismissed by the courts.

In addition, Lizzy has had moments of public scandal, like being accused of theft in a Lagos market. She denied this allegations and authorities later cleared her. Each event generated online attention, highlighting how quickly stories involving her can spread.

The most defining controversy of her career has been her prolonged feud with actress Iyabo Ojo. The disagreement escalated into public accusations, threats of legal action, and personal claims, creating one of the most talked-about celebrity disputes in the Yoruba film industry.

Social media has played a major role in amplifying these situations, making even small disagreements seem larger than life. For Lizzy, this has shaped the way audiences view her. She is seen as an actress, entrepreneur, and a figure often at the center of high-profile conflicts.

The Biodun Okeowo Fallout: The Fresh Chapter

Biodun Okeowo

The latest attention in Nollywood centers on actress Biodun Okeowo, who took to social media to clarify her position amid swirling rumours involving one of her colleagues. Although she did not mention any names, the timing and context make it seem she was addressing the recent tension linked to Lizzy Anjorin.

It came after controversy was stirred because Biodun Okeowo liked one of Lizzy Anjorin’s posts.

In a lengthy post, Biodun made it clear that “That person has NEVER been my friend. We were never friends in real life. I also do not have any close friends in the movie industry. I’m cordial with my colleagues and I have no issues with anyone, well, that I know of. I’m cool with everyone, including her too.”

She stressed that her interactions with Lizzy’s posts online were simply social media courtesy, like liking posts about Lizzy’s husband or business, not support for any fights or curses. Biodun emphasized that she had never supported curses or negative posts, and that her actions were often misunderstood. She wrote:

“Now, to what I want to address. I did not support her curses or like any curse post. My likes on her posts were never to support fights. I detest curses. Anyone close to me can testify to that. I don’t even allow negative words around me.

That is why I don’t even know if I’m being dragged right now or not, as put by some of you, because I don’t watch such.

The posts I engaged with were normal posts made out of social media courtesy and reciprocation when she posts about her husband or her business, just as she sometimes liked my own posts. Nothing more. So you all need to stop the false accusations of liking curses. Have you ever seen me join her live videos? No.”

Biodun also explained her efforts to remain neutral in the past:

“Choosing not to take sides has been my own way of life. I have people I don’t talk to, but I will tell my children not to follow suit. I don’t encourage anybody inheriting even my own enmity.”

She clarified that her involvement with Lizzy ended after an incident involving an innocent child last year, which prompted her to step back completely. She also rejected claims that Lizzy had ever fought on her behalf, pointing out that past support had been misrepresented:

“Though I know that her intercession looks more like an indirect call for dragging…She knows nothing about the video I did in 2024 or me coming out to address that issue.”

Biodun further addressed false narratives about her family, stating unequivocally that her children “are from the same father. They are both OKEOWO.” She insisted that staying neutral was her personal choice, not an indication of support or friendship:

“Staying neutral does not equate to support or friendship. It is simply a choice for peace to reign.”

Drawing on her faith, she explained that some battles are better left to God:

“Some battles are better handed to heaven. God’s support is the ultimate. No man fights like Him.”

Biodun concluded her post with a clear warning to anyone spreading negative information:

“Henceforth, nobody should bring any negative information to my page. Else, you get blocked. As far as I’m concerned, this case is closed and handed to my FATHER.”

The Defining Feud Era: Iyabo Ojo

Iyabo Ojo

No controversy has shaped Lizzy’s public image as much as her long-standing feud with Iyabo Ojo. What started as industry tension escalated into a full-blown public battle. Both actresses made strong claims against each other, and the dispute divided fans and dominated media discussions.

Other Celebrity Fallout Moments

Lizzy’s history of public disagreements doesn’t end there. Over time, she has been linked to several other conflicts, including with gospel singer Tope Alabi, and actresses such as Toyin Abraham and Nkechi Blessing.

Some of these situations were minor and cooled down quickly, while others attracted public attention for weeks. Veteran actor Saidi Balogun was also involved in a professional disagreement that spilled into public discussion.

Together, these events highlight a pattern of disagreements involving Lizzy, which end up becoming talking points for fans, media, and industry insiders alike.

Conclusion

Lizzy Anjorin’s career illustrates how fame, controversy, and public perception are deeply intertwined in today’s entertainment world. From long-running feuds like the one with Iyabo Ojo to the latest fallout with Biodun Okeowo, her story shows how quickly celebrity conflicts can spread and influence public opinion.

Shockingly, it seems Lizzy is never scared of a fight. It’s almost as if she thrives on it as it attracts public attention and keeps her firmly at the center of conversations in Nigerian entertainment.
