Despite the outrage and protest over police brutality in Nigeria, it appears this has done little to curb the abuse of power by certain officers of the law and CDQ’s recent experience has proven this to be true.

The Nigerian singer took to social media to narrate a rather scary experience he recently had with some SARS officers in a part of Lekki, Lagos state.

CDQ who is calling on a total reform of the Police Force revealed that these officers allegedly threatened to shoot him and even went on to brag about how they’d get away with it.
He narrated:

“The head in-charge should give proper training to these people… I had a terrible encounter with some illiterate Sars on Friday at Osapa London Lekki by the Shoprite Road threatening to shoot everyone in my convoy including myself and openly said nothing will happen ‍♂️ that they don’t care about anybody ‍♂️ scaring young girls and boys with guns… the incident still baffles me till now I’ve never in my entire life seen such happening in any other country… Just only in Nigeria why molest people anyhow with guns ??? @nigerianpoliceforce.”

CDQ’s experience is one among many other heartbreaking stories of the abuse of power carried out by supposed officers of the law, with some even going as far as carrying out extra-judicial killings.
