Football star, Odion Ighalo’s surprising move to Manchester United has left social media stunned as he becomes the the first Nigerian to officially play for the senior men’s team.
The English football giants late on Friday night agreed a deal with Shanghai Shenhua of China to sign Ighalo on a six months contract
Ighalo, born in Ajegunle, with stints at Udinese and Watford will reportedly earn about £130,000 (N62m) per week at his new club for the six months he will be at the club.
The deal doesn’t include an option to sign, so Man U. has no obligation to keep him beyond six months if he doesn’t perform well.
Ighalo will replace the injured Marcus Rashford in Manchester United’s line up.
