All Progressives Congress chieftains including former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; and former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, on Saturday, arrived in Akure, the Ondo State capital, for the flag-off rally of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu re-election campaign.
Akeredolu is seeking a return to office on the platform of the ruling APC in the election scheduled to hold on October 10, 2020.
It would be recalled that the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu National Campaign Council in Ondo had earlier announced five sub-committees for the actualisation of victory for the party flag bearer at the October 10 governorship election in the state.
The sub-committees are Contact and Mobilization, Election Management, Security, Finance and Media and Publicity.
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja endorsed the candidacy of Rotimi Akeredolu for the Ondo State Governorship election slated for Oct. 10
Buhari also tasked the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as the party’s campaign committee for Ondo State governorship election, to ensure to retain the state in the upcoming election for the party.
