Fresh Billionaire Rihanna Emerges Richest Female Singer In The World

Rihanna

Multiple award-winning singer Rihanna is officially a billionaire and the richest female musician in the world.

Rihanna’s fortune, according to Forbes, is pegged at $1.7 billion. She made so much money after the success of her cosmetics empire, Fenty Beauty. Fenty Beauty launched in 2017 with a dream to create a cosmetics company that made “women everywhere [feel] included.”

The 33-year-old propelled the beauty brand in collaboration with French company, LVMH. Fenty Beauty achieved sales of $550m in its first year, a milestone bigger than other celebrity-endorsed makeup company.

Rihanna has a 50% stake in Fenty Beauty and a 30% stake in the lingerie line Savage X Fenty. With these brands, alongside money from her music, she sprung her fortune to over a billion dollars, making her the second wealthiest female entertainer on the planet. Oprah Winfrey remains number one with $2.7bn.

Rihanna’s feat is coming after Kylie Jenner became the world’s youngest billionaire at 21 in 2019 through her Kylie Cosmetics makeup company.
