Joseph Akinfenwa-Docus, better known as Joeboy, a renowned Nigerian artist, has advised Nigerians against putting hazardous substances on their bodies.
Since its debut on September 24th, the 24-year-old singer’s new song “Alcohol” has been trending on Tiktok and other social media networks.
This sparked a viral challenge in which fans were spotted pouring hazardous substances like bleach on their bodies, with some even going so far as to drink Dettol.
Joeboy, who appeared unhappy with the videos, asked his fans to reject the challenge.
He, on the other hand, praised them for their continuous support for his music.
On his Twitter page, he wrote: “I appreciate the love alcohol is getting but stop pouring stuff on your bodies.
“You’re welcome to keep learning the lyrics by the way.”
Mr. Eazi of the record label “emPawa Africa” discovered Joeboy in 2017.
In 2020, Joeboy won the Headies award for song of the year and Best Pop Single.
