Headies Awards Organisers Abandon Nigeria, Take 2022 Edition To The US

Organisers of Nigeria’s biggest music award show, The Headies, will hold the 15th edition of the event in the United States of America, abandoning Nigeria

The anticipated award show, 2022 Headies Awards, themed “Join The Movement”, is scheduled to hold at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, USA, on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

The award show in past years had been staged in Lagos, Nigeria. However, the organisers took Nigerians by huge surprised when a new location, which is outside the four corners of Nigeria, was revealed.

Headies 2022 to hold in Atlanta, USA

Ayo Animashaun, the event’s creator, made the announcement in a televised ‘Big Announcement’ event that aired on HipTV on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

The Headies’ ‘Big Announcement’ event was hosted by actress Nancy Isime, while dancer, Kaffy; singer, Goya Menor, and others performed to entertain.
