Asake

Budding talent Ahamed Ololade, profoundly called by his stage name Asake, has landed two songs on the highest spots of the Top 100 Apple Music Charts in Nigeria.

Asake whose 2021 release, ‘Omo Ope’ featuring Olamide, earned him huge fanbase in Nigerian, shining more spotlights on him among his colleagues in the music industry, has also gotten another recognition with his newest song, ‘Sungba’.

‘Sungba’ by Asake sits firmly on the number one spot, while ‘Omo Ope’ got the number three spot, with ‘Finesse’, a collaboration between Pheelz and Buju (now known as BNXN), seals the second position on the chart.

Sungba”, written by Asake, is such a catchy tune and club banger. The video raises our fondness for the song, because it instantly will have you wanting to do your favorite two-step moves and T G Omori directed it.

When discussing the single with Sheriff Salaudeen (Alhajisneh), the Lagosian singer/songwriter said, ”I just wanted to create something that was very different from my other records and I just wanted to have some fun with this single.”
