Popular Nigerian singer, 2Baba has opined in a recent post he made online claiming that the Abacha looted funds were kept away from thieving hands.
The singer stated this in an Instagram story in the context of corruption which has become a rampant thing in Nigeria at the moment.
2Baba stated in his argument that the looted fund might actually not be stolen by the former Head of State but kept away from thieving hands.
He went ahead to back his opinion claiming that looted funds are hardly ever recovered but the Abacha loots seem to be different as the country recovers a new one almost all the time.
“If to say Abacha actually thief this money we for no fit recover am, abi na only me they think this thing.
“I think he (Abacha) tried to keep it away from these thieving hands (my personal opinion) if not please tell me what has become of the recovered funds? Aluta continua abi.”
Sani Abacha ruled Nigeria from 1943 till 1998 and was said to have looted funds running into billions before he died, prompting an international treasure hunt for all the funds he looted during his time as Head of State of Nigeria.
