Reactions as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu reveals ‘laws’ he’ll enact if he becomes president

Media personality and former big brother Naija housemate, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has revealed what he would do when he becomes the president of Nigeria.

The father-of-two took to his Twitter page to speak on his next line of action as the President of Nigeria, if that will ever happen some day. He tweeted:

“Gotta make it illegal for parents to help their children with homework when I become President. Let me rest. Right after I ban ponmo.”

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu‘s tweet got several replies from his followers who agreed with him on the part of parents helping their children with home work.

@PaulShedrack wrote: Why do they have to give home work when the lesson was taught at school? What exactly are we paying teachers for, isn’t it to teach them, why the shift of responsibility?

@nkeobele wrote: How do you measure what the child has learnt? Homework may not be the best way to measure it but the standard way in our educational system. Education is a student -teacher – parent affair. How would you contribute to your child’s learning if you don’t know what he’s taught?

@ediemuse wrote: Homework is done for reinforcement. Ideally, whatever is given as homework should have been explicitly taught and understood in class. The part done at home should be simple and can be solved by the child. Its a process called reinforcement of learning.
